Sales Officer
About this role
CCBRT is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused, and target-oriented Sales Officer to drive sales of optical products and services, build strong customer relationships, and help achieve revenue targets in Tanzania. The position is part of the CCBRT Optical Production and Sales Team and may be based at the main facility or at one of CCBRT's shops. In this full-time role, the Sales Officer will welcome customers and assist them in choosing frames and correctly dispensed spectacles, explain available frame and lens types, prepare sales orders and invoices, and pass them to the production unit. Day-to-day duties include maintaining registers for daily and special orders in the ERP system, collecting cash and issuing receipts, compiling end-of-day cash collection reports, tallying cash with invoices before handover to finance, and informing customers when spectacles are ready or delayed.
The job holder also maintains showroom inventory, reconciles stock against sales, prepares sales reports and claims forms for finance, and communicates with insurance companies for pre-authorization. Teammates are expected to support continuous improvement and contribute to effective work planning that enhances operational efficiency and quality. Applicants must hold a diploma or degree in sales and marketing and have at least two years of relevant experience. Strong computer skills, ideally with ERP exposure, are required, along with good communication in English and Swahili, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude.
