About this role
Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is recruiting a Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to lead its procurement department and report to the Chief Operating Officer. CCBRT, a healthcare social enterprise in Dar es Salaam, serves as Tanzania's largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services and also runs maternal and newborn healthcare programmes, including obstetric fistula repairs and a referral centre for high-risk deliveries. The post-holder will give strategic leadership and oversight to ensure transparent, standardized, ethical and safe procurement practices that provide value for money. They will identify and implement improvements that speed up procurement without losing rigour, review and revise current arrangements, create and maintain KPIs, initiate corrective action, write new policies, train staff, and bring best practice and industry standards to CCBRT.
They will also drive operational efficiency across procurement and supply chain, covering warehouse and inventory management, ensure optimal stock availability and inventory control, strengthen warehouse operations, and oversee safe, efficient and accountable storage and distribution of goods. Compliance with organisational and donor requirements is central, as is embodying CCBRT's values of integrity, collaboration, innovation, accountability and excellence. Applicants must have a minimum degree in Procurement, registration with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB), and authorization as a supplies officer or stock verifier, alongside at least eight years of leadership experience in procurement. Relevant experience in the health and NGO sector is an added advantage.
