About this role
FHI 360 is recruiting a Senior Regional Technical Officer, Supply Chain, based in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, to serve as the regional-level technical lead for supply chain management, pharmaceutical services, and data use within the EpiC project. The officer acts as a technical bridge linking the Medical Stores Department in Tanzania Mainland, the Central Medical Stores in Zanzibar, regional and council health management teams, Logistics Management Services teams, health facilities, and regional implementing partners. Day to day, the officer provides hands-on technical expertise on commodities management at regional, council, and facility level, supports bottom-up quantification and its integration into national supply and procurement plans, and monitors stock status to prevent stock-outs, minimize expiries, and reduce overstocking. The officer also mentors pharmacists, laboratory technologists, and health workers through on-the-job training and supportive supervision, and promotes dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports for continuous improvement. Candidates must hold a degree in pharmacy, supply chain management, public health, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred, and have at least eight years of experience in public life-saving commodities supply chain management, pharmaceutical management, or health systems strengthening. Demonstrated expertise in eLMIS, the CTC2 database, DHIS2 pharmacy modules, bottom-up quantification, and GoTHOMIS is required, alongside experience working with the Ministry of Health and USG-funded projects. Strong data analysis, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building skills are essential.
The position is full time, reports to the Regional Manager and the Senior Technical Advisor, Supply Chain, and requires 10 to 25 percent domestic travel to councils and health facility sites. The annual basic salary range is TZS 68,000,000 to 90,000,000, with a competitive benefits package. Applications close on 24 October 2026.
