Sr. Regional Technical Officer, Supply Chain

FHI 360 is recruiting a Senior Regional Technical Officer, Supply Chain, based at regional level in Tanzania to support the EpiC project's HIV and TB commodity security work. The post-holder provides hands-on technical leadership, mentorship and systems support that strengthens supply chain management, pharmaceutical services and data use, acting as a technical bridge among MSD, CMS, health management teams, health facilities and implementing partners. Responsibilities include supporting bottom-up quantification and its integration into national supply and procurement plans, monitoring stock status across supported facilities, analysing inventory trends, and coordinating with stakeholders to prevent stock-outs, minimise expiries and reduce overstocking. The officer strengthens use of eLMIS, DHIS2 and GoTHOMIS for timely reporting, supports regional and council health management teams to resolve supply chain challenges using data, and mentors health workers on stock management, ordering, reporting, redistribution and pharmacovigilance.

The role also strengthens data validation, analysis, reporting and use of dashboards for decision-making. Candidates must hold a degree in pharmacy, supply chain management, public health or a related field, with a master's degree preferred, and have at least eight years of experience in life-saving commodities supply chain management, pharmaceutical management or health systems strengthening. Demonstrated expertise with e-LMIS, CTC2 Database, Pharmacy Modules DHIS2, BUQ and GoTHOMIS is required, along with a background in rational use of medicines and pharmacovigilance, experience with Ministry of Health and USG-funded projects, and strong analytical and facilitation skills. Preferred attributes include proposal development, programme planning, budget monitoring and supportive supervision of healthcare workers.

The officer reports to the Regional Manager and the Senior Technical Advisor, Supply Chain, mentors junior staff, and travels domestically 10 to 25 percent of the time. The annual basic salary range is TZS 68,000,000 to 90,000,000, and FHI 360 offers a competitive benefits package.
