Sr. Regional Technical Officer, Supply Chain

FHI 360 is recruiting a Senior Regional Technical Officer for Supply Chain, based in Mwanza, to support the EpiC project's HIV and TB commodity security work. The post-holder provides hands-on technical leadership, mentorship and systems support that strengthens supply chain management, pharmaceutical services and data use, serving as a technical bridge among the Medical Stores Department, Zanzibar's CMS, regional and council health management teams, logistics services teams, health facilities and regional partners. The officer supports bottom-up quantification and its integration into national supply and procurement plans, monitors stock status across supported facilities, analyses inventory trends, and coordinates with stakeholders to prevent stock-outs, minimise expiries and reduce overstocks. It strengthens use of eLMIS, DHIS2, GoTHOMIS and related tools for accurate and timely reporting, and supports regional and council platforms to resolve commodity challenges using data evidence.

Mentorship is provided to pharmacists, laboratory technologists and clinicians on stock management, ordering, reporting, redistribution, rational use of medicines, antimicrobial resistance, pharmacovigilance and patient safety. The officer also promotes dashboards and scorecards, conducts root-cause analysis, and guides capacity building aligned with Ministry of Health and PORALG strategies. Applicants need a degree in pharmacy, supply chain management, public health or a related field, with a master's preferred, and at least eight years of experience in life-saving commodity supply chain management, pharmaceutical management or health systems strengthening. Demonstrated expertise with e-LMIS, CTC2, DHIS2 pharmacy modules and GoTHOMIS is required, alongside a background in rational use of medicines and pharmacovigilance, strong analytical and facilitation skills, and experience with the Ministry of Health and USG-funded projects.

Proposal development experience is desirable. The full-time role reports to the Regional Manager and the Senior Technical Advisor, Supply Chain, and involves 10 to 25 percent domestic travel.
