Sr. Regional Technical Officer, Supply Chain

FHI 360 is recruiting a Senior Regional Technical Officer (SRTO), Supply Chain, based in Iringa, Tanzania, on a full-time contract within its EpiC project. The post-holder provides hands-on technical leadership, mentorship, and systems support to strengthen supply chain management, pharmaceutical services, and data use. The SRTO acts as a technical bridge linking the Medical Stores Department, the Central Medical Stores in Zanzibar, regional and council health management teams, logistics management services teams, health facilities, and implementing partners. Day to day, the officer supports commodities management at regional, council, and facility level, supports bottom-up quantification and integration into national supply and procurement plans, and monitors stock status across supported sites.

The role analyses inventory trends and coordinates with stakeholders to prevent stock-outs, minimise expiries, and reduce overstocks, while strengthening use of eLMIS, DHIS2, GoTHOMIS, and related tools for accurate, timely reporting. The officer mentors pharmacists, laboratory technologists, and health workers on stock management, ordering, reporting, redistribution, rational use of medicines, and pharmacovigilance, and promotes dashboards and scorecards for evidence-based decisions. A central aim is uninterrupted availability of HIV and TB commodities for quality prevention, treatment, and care. Applicants must hold a degree in pharmacy, supply chain management, public health, or a related field, with at least eight years of experience in public life-saving commodities supply chain management, pharmaceutical management, or health systems strengthening.

Demonstrated expertise in e-LMIS, CTC2, DHIS2 pharmacy modules, BUQ, and GoTHOMIS is required, alongside experience working with the Ministry of Health, USG-funded projects, and other donor-funded health programmes. A master's degree is preferred, as is experience in proposal development, technical design, and business development. The role reports to the Regional Manager and the Senior Technical Advisor, Supply Chain, supervises junior staff, and involves 10 to 25 percent domestic travel to project sites. The annual basic salary range is TZS 68,000,000 to 90,000,000.
