Educate! is a youth employment and skills organisation building scalable solutions for Africa\'s youngest and fastest-growing population, with over 500,000 youth meaningfully impacted across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania, making it the largest youth employment provider in East Africa. \'s product development function, specifically focused on driving user research, product experimentation, and continuous improvement for the Experience (EXP) product that currently reaches 32,000 youth in Ugandan secondary schools. The position is based in Tanzania and reports into the product leadership team, collaborating closely with the LX Designer, product strategist, and implementation lead.
Core responsibilities include leading end-to-end project management and execution of experiments and continuous discovery against the EXP product roadmap, designing and managing experiment implementation to validate hypotheses and improve user experience, and driving the use of the sandbox environment to prototype and test product features in controlled settings. The Associate will define metrics and KPIs alongside the product team, maintain comprehensive documentation of experiment outcomes, and share key learnings across products. They will co-create experimentation frameworks such as A/B testing, multivariate testing, and rapid prototyping, while supporting team training to build capability in experimentation methodologies. Leading user research through usability testing and interviews, synthesizing feedback, and integrating insights into product improvements are also key duties.
Required qualifications include a customer-centric approach with deep understanding of user needs, strong collaborative and team-oriented skills, clear communication abilities to translate complex ideas for diverse audiences, and project management expertise to drive successful end-to-end experiment delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and data-driven skills with comfort in cleaning, analysing, and interpreting complex data to derive actionable insights, and familiarity with data analytics tools and experimentation methodologies. Preferred qualifications include experience in product development or UX research roles and familiarity with youth-focused education or employment programmes in African contexts. Educate!
