Senior Portfolio Manager, NTDs

CBM

About this role

Christian Blind Mission (CBM) invites applications for a senior portfolio manager to provide strategic leadership across its multi-country neglected tropical disease (NTD) donor portfolio. Working with country programmes and global teams, the postholder will strengthen portfolio performance, ensure grant management and donor compliance, oversee financial and operational risk, and build strong relationships with institutional donors. Responsibilities include reviewing budgets, workplans, procurement plans and donor reports for compliance before submission; managing sub-awards; monitoring portfolio performance and budget use; leading financial oversight and risk mitigation; and coordinating grant compliance across country teams. The manager will also act as a programmatic interface with donors, contribute to resource mobilisation and business development, support country programmes with an initial focus on the RLMF portfolio, and facilitate lesson learning across the NTD portfolio.

Required qualifications include a relevant degree in international development, public health or related field; substantial grants management experience in multi-country donor-funded health or development programmes; and solid knowledge of NTD and global health donor frameworks. Candidates need sub-award management experience, familiarity with matrix and international environments, strong donor-facing communication skills, organisational and cross-cultural abilities, professional proficiency in English and French, willingness to travel, and identification with CBM's Christian values and mandate. CBM is a disability-inclusive development organisation with more than 100 years of expertise, working through partnerships to address poverty as a cause and consequence of disability. The role is open only for local recruitment in one of CBM's permanent established entities, with local contractual conditions applying and no expatriation intended.

CBM offers fair salary and social benefits according to local conditions. Applications must be submitted online through CBM's applicant portal with a motivation letter, CV and references by 2 October 2026.
