Resource Mobilization and Program Development Advisor
About this role
Cuso International is seeking a dynamic professional for a five-month volunteer placement in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, working with Tanzania Women in Mining and Mineral Industry (TWiMMI) under the SHARE Project and Renewed Women's Voice and Leadership programme. The Resource Mobilization and Program Development Advisor will partner with TWiMMI to strengthen its capacity to design sustainable programmes, secure funding, and build strategic partnerships that support women engaged in mining and mineral value addition, helping expand economic opportunities and long-term independence while reducing reliance on donor funding. Core responsibilities include identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from donors, foundations, development agencies, and private sector partners, designing innovative programmes aligned with organizational priorities, conducting research and data gathering to support evidence-based programming and advocacy, developing policy briefs and advocacy materials focused on women in mining, facilitating training in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business development, strengthening internal systems, governance structures, and operational processes, building and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, and supporting documentation, knowledge transfer, and staff capacity development. Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Project Management, International Development, Economics, Social Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Mining-related studies, or a related field, along with proven experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement, programme design, proposal development, and project management.
Strong grant writing, donor reporting skills, and demonstrated ability to build partnerships with government, private sector, donors, and civil society are required, while experience supporting capacity building and organizational development is an asset.
