World Vision is seeking a Facilities Management Officer to join its Tanzania office in Arusha. This local fixed-term position reports within the Tanzania country office operations structure and is based in Arusha.
The Facilities Management Officer is responsible for ensuring the office premises, both internal and external, remain clean, orderly, and well-maintained at all times. Core duties include supervising cleaning service providers and coordinating maintenance repairs across washrooms, workspaces, meeting rooms, gardens, parking areas, and walkways. The role acts as the focal point for all facility-related vendors, monitoring performance against service level agreements and supporting contract renewals and evaluations. The officer manages utilities including electricity, water, and generator operations, tracking usage and liaising with service providers to minimise disruptions.
Additional responsibilities cover goods receipt and dispatch documentation, managing correspondence registries, preparing periodic reports on facility status and vendor performance, and supporting general office administration including meeting logistics and new staff onboarding. The minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Logistics, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Public Administration, combined with at least one year of experience in administration or facilities operations. Preferred qualifications include strong organisational and coordination skills, ability to manage multiple vendors simultaneously, basic knowledge of utilities and generator management, proficiency in English and Kiswahili, and computer literacy across MS Office applications. The position is a full-time local fixed-term employee contract based in Arusha, Tanzania.
