Regional Auditor

World Vision is seeking a Regional Auditor to provide independent objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the organisation's operations. The role operates within the Global Audit Assurance function and is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance processes across national office portfolios in the region. The position is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and reports to the Regional Audit Manager. Core responsibilities include conducting regional audit engagements of varying size and complexity, supporting the planning and execution of all phases of audit fieldwork in accordance with the International Professional Practices Framework and GAA methodologies, engaging with senior leadership within national offices to develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, conducting detailed risk-based audits or advisory engagements, and documenting clear summaries of audit findings with associated criteria, identified risks and practical recommendations for improvement.

The role also involves quality assurance activities, compiling draft audit reports, addressing review notes, applying GAA quality standards throughout the audit lifecycle, and ensuring timely follow-up and closure of prior audit findings. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Audit, Accounting, Finance or a related field, with professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE completed or in advanced stages of pursuit. A minimum of four years of audit experience in a recognised organisation is required, including two years at senior supervisory level, with experience in risk-based auditing and advisory services being essential. Strong interpersonal skills, cross-cultural competency, and the ability to influence management at senior levels are critical.

Preferred qualifications include strategic thinking, project management skills, proficiency in audit software packages, and working knowledge of World Vision systems including Sun System accounting software.
