About this role

Educate! is seeking a Program Coordinator to serve as the operational engine of its hub program team in Tanzania, based in Mwanza and Arusha. The role is designed to take ownership of coordination, events, data, and administrative workload, freeing the Hub Program Manager to focus on team development and strategic planning. The coordinator works alongside Program Officers as a peer-level support, ensuring trainings, events, stakeholder engagements, data flows, and financial processes run smoothly and on time.

Core responsibilities include end-to-end logistics for Student Leadership Program sessions, District Teacher Training, pre-term trainings, Training of Trainers, student business competitions, and high-level LGA school visits. The coordinator also builds and maintains the hub-wide implementation calendar, coordinates scheduling across district plans, manages procurement requests, and provides operational support during peak implementation periods. In data and reporting, the coordinator compiles weekly hub implementation reports, cleans Program Officer-submitted data, flags emerging risks within 48 hours, and maintains audit-ready documentation. Financial duties include first-level review of requisitions and budget requests, tracking spending against budget lines, and preparing inputs for monthly Budget vs Actual reviews.

The role also supports government and stakeholder engagement by coordinating meetings, preparing briefing packs, documenting engagements, and representing the Hub Program Manager when delegated. Educate! is East Africa's largest youth employment and skills provider, delivering an employment-focused school subject and livelihood boot camps for out-of-school youth, with a focus on marginalized rural girls and young women; the Tanzania program is scaling to over 1,000 schools.
