The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is seeking a Procurement, Logistics and Administration Coordinator to support its Greater Ruaha-Katavi Landscape Program in Tanzania. This full-time position is based in Mbeya and plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant acquisition of goods, services, and contracts that enable WCS conservation operations across the country. The coordinator reports to the Landscape Finance Manager with a matrix reporting line to the Country Procurement and Logistics Manager and directly supervises an Admin Officer and Mbeya-based Drivers while maintaining close coordination with the Finance Coordinator. The core responsibilities span three interconnected areas.

First, the coordinator develops and implements procurement strategies aligned with WCS Procurement Policy, collaborating with Program Directors to forecast procurement needs and ensure timely acquisition of goods and services. This includes implementing cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance, coordinating the development and regular review of procurement plans, and conducting market price assessments for planning and budgeting purposes. Second, in supplier and contract management, the role involves drafting contracts with selected and approved suppliers, contractors, and consultants; negotiating contractual terms including pricing to obtain best value; monitoring supplier performance and compliance with contract terms; coordinating supplier identification, notification, and vetting against conduct standards; and conducting regular market surveys to identify the best price for quality goods and services. Third, in procurement process management, the coordinator determines requirements based on spend analysis and annual procurement plans, reviews sourcing strategies to ensure alignment with WCS policies and procedures, and ensures a structured approach to procurement across all programs and projects.
