Partnerships and Reporting Associate

WFP

About this role

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a Partnerships and Reporting Associate to join its Partnerships, Communication and Advocacy unit in Tanzania. This is a Service Contract position at SC-6 level, based in Dar es Salaam, with an initial assignment duration of twelve months. The role is dual in nature, combining operational information management and performance reporting responsibilities with partnerships and donor engagement activities. The post holder will support the unit in mobilizing resources, strengthening partnerships, leading advocacy efforts, and coordinating reporting and communication activities to meet corporate and donor requirements.

Core duties include leading the preparation and drafting of high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual donor and corporate reports, ensuring compliance with WFP standards and contractual obligations. The associate will support the Annual Country Report process by coordinating inputs across programme, M&E, logistics, and resource management units, and will collect, consolidate, and analyze programme data to ensure accuracy and consistency of performance information. On the partnerships side, the role involves preparing briefs, talking points, presentations, and speeches for senior management engagements with donors and partners, assisting in partner mapping and tracking of funding opportunities, and supporting engagement with public, private, and multilateral partners. The post holder will also contribute to the drafting of concept notes, proposals, and partnership documentation, and ensure integration of cross-cutting priorities including gender, protection, and accountability to affected populations in all outputs.

Candidates must hold an advanced university degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications, Information Management, or a related field; alternatively, a first university degree with additional years of relevant experience will be considered. A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in partnership, programme policy, or reporting and information management roles is required. Fluency in English at level C is mandatory. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information, are essential.
