World Vision Tanzania is seeking an Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations at the national office in Arusha. This role is central to ensuring robust internal controls, statutory compliance, and accurate financial reporting across the organisation's programmes serving vulnerable children. The Accounts Manager is responsible for strengthening compliance frameworks, including coordination of external and internal audits, tax health checks, and implementation of audit recommendations. A significant portion of the work involves managing disbursements and cashflow, maintaining the monthly cashflow forecast, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers, staff, and partners while keeping the cash balance within the target low benchmark.
The post-holder oversees Mobile Money disbursement management, including reconciliation of the float account and timely processing of beneficiary payments. Coordinating monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IPSAS, IFRS, and World Vision partnership standards is a core function, with field financial reports due for review and filing by the 15th of each following month. Balance sheet reconciliation, vendor account management, and oversight of account codes and allocations in SunSystems are also key responsibilities. The Accounts Manager leads the accounts team, manages staff performance, prepares capacity building plans, and supports the Finance Director in rolling out global and local finance initiatives.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA(T) certification, with a Master's degree being an added advantage, and five years of NGO experience in a managerial position. Proficiency in SunSystems and Microsoft Office is required, alongside fluency in English and Kiswahili. The role involves limited field travel and reports directly to the Finance and Support Services Director. Applications close on 12 August 2026.
