Partnerships and Grants Manager

About this role

Right To Play is hiring a Partnerships and Grants Manager to support the No Child on the Sidelines project, a four-year initiative funded by Global Affairs Canada and delivered with Global Citizen and the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. Based in any of several eligible countries including Tanzania, the position reports to the Senior Fund Manager and serves as the primary day-to-day contact for local civil society organization sub-grantees across a multi-country portfolio, building trusted and partnership-oriented relationships in contexts affected by conflict and displacement. Around 70 percent of the work involves managing and coordinating CSO relationships: onboarding and orienting sub-grantees, coordinating reporting obligations, supporting milestone-based disbursements, reviewing financial and programmatic reports, and identifying risks in collaboration with CSOs and the Senior Fund Manager.

A further 15 percent focuses on coordinating technical assistance and capacity building, including capacity assessments, facilitation of Communities of Practice, and connecting partners with Right To Play's global technical staff. The remaining time is spent representing the programme at regional and global forums and maintaining relationships with women-led and refugee-led organizations, civil society networks, governance bodies, and humanitarian coordination mechanisms. Candidates need a post-secondary degree or equivalent, at least seven years of experience working with local CSOs in partnership management, capacity building, or organizational development in MENA, South Asia, and/or Africa, and experience in conflict-affected or fragile contexts.

Fluency in English and French is required, with Arabic or Urdu an asset; PMP certification and technical background in education in emergencies, child protection, psychosocial support, or sport/play-based development are also desirable. This is a full-time, one-year fixed-term national contract with country-specific hiring salary, paid leave, benefits, and five learning and development days per year, with periodic international travel and occasional calls outside standard hours.
