About Right To Play
Right To Play uses play-based learning to help children get a quality education and stay safe. It has worked in Tanzania since 2001, first with refugee communities and against harmful traditional practices, and now runs programmes in refugee settlements and in rural and urban communities so that children, including girls, children with disabilities and displaced children, can access early childhood and primary education.
Its programme priorities for Tanzania from 2024 to 2026 are to help parents and caregivers support learning through play, expand quality play-based learning in pre-primary and primary schools, build partnerships with government, donors and local organisations, and generate evidence on how play affects learning and social development.
