Partnership Analyst
About this role
The United Nations Volunteer (UNV) programme is seeking a Partnership Analyst (NPSA-9) to be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This position sits within UNDP's country office in Tanzania, supporting the implementation of the United Nations Development Assistance Framework and contributing directly to the achievement of sustainable development goals in the country. The role is focused on building, strengthening, and analysing partnerships between UNDP Tanzania and a range of stakeholders including government counterparts, bilateral and multilateral donors, civil society organisations, the private sector, and United Nations agencies operating within the national development ecosystem. The Partnership Analyst will be responsible for identifying emerging partnership opportunities, mapping potential collaborators, and supporting the development of strategic engagement plans aligned with national priorities and UNDP's global strategic plan.
Core functions include conducting research and data analysis on partnership trends, preparing briefing notes and reports for senior management, coordinating partnership-related meetings and events, and tracking commitments and deliverables under existing partnership agreements. The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in international development, public policy, business administration, or a related field, with at least five years of relevant professional experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation, or stakeholder engagement within a development or humanitarian context. Prior experience working with United Nations agencies, multilateral organisations, or international non-governmental organisations is highly desirable. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
The selected candidate will operate under a National Personnel Service Agreement (NPSA-9) and will be required to travel within Tanzania as needed to engage with key partners and stakeholders.
