Online Volunteer, Fundraising Strategy Development
About this role
Learn to Serve Community of Tanzania (LESCOTA) is a community-based organization whose mission is to support rural children in reaching their full potential. The organization runs multiple programmes spanning food and nutrition, parent workshops, construction and maintenance, childcare, health care, and English language teaching, serving vulnerable communities in Matekela, a rural village in Tanzania. LESCOTA operates the Mango Pre and Primary English Medium School, which provides foundational education and early childhood development services to children aged three to six years. The school is currently under construction, and the organization seeks to raise funds to complete facilities that will create quality learning environments for rural children.
LESCOTA, hosted under the United Nations Volunteers programme, is seeking online volunteers to advise on developing and implementing an effective fundraising strategy. The selected volunteers will work with the programme director to guide the organization in selecting and using non-profit online fundraising platforms and help build internal capacity for resource mobilisation. They must have strong proficiency in managing non-profit fundraising tools and platforms, demonstrated experience with online fundraising campaigns, and excellent teamwork and communication skills. The volunteers will not submit funding requests on behalf of the organization, nor are they required to make financial or in-kind contributions or solicit donations from third parties.
All collaboration will take place virtually via WhatsApp and email. LESCOTA is looking for individuals who can serve as engagers, connectors, askers, or stewards to nurture donor relationships and support the organization's sustainability. Prospective volunteers with backgrounds in fundraising, donor relations, or non-profit resource mobilisation are encouraged to apply.
