Grants and Finance Officer, AHADI

About this role

World Vision is hiring a Grants and Finance Officer to support the AHADI programme in Dodoma, Tanzania. This fixed-term, full-time local position combines financial management, budgeting, fixed asset oversight, and partner relationship management. The officer will ensure funding requests align with approved annual work plans, prepare and revise project budgets, track expenditures against approved lines, and maintain the fixed asset register. They will also support finance and logistics functions, including supervising drivers and fleet management, while reviewing monthly partner reports, posting them into the system, and assessing partner capacity.

Timely payments to vendors, partners and beneficiaries, proper procurement documentation, staff timesheet submission, and support during audits round out the core responsibilities. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least three years of progressive experience in donor-funded environments covering project accounting, budgeting, grants, contracts, and partner management. One year with an international NGO is preferred, along with advanced Excel skills, the ability to translate financial data into informative reports, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and oral English. Desirable qualifications include CPA or ACCA certification, experience managing donor funds, working knowledge of grants operations and Sun-systems accounting software, and prior experience managing partners.

The AHADI programme is based in Dodoma, and the selected candidate will join the local office. This is a local fixed-term contract, and only local applicants will be considered.
