Finance, Grants and Compliance Manager

World Vision

About this role

World Vision is recruiting a Finance, Grants and Compliance Manager for the Faith and Community Initiative (FCI) in Tanzania, based at the Dar es Salaam Office. The post holder will lead country financial management for the FCI Tanzania programme, including budget preparation, phased spending plans, cash-flow forecasting, pipeline analysis, budget-versus-actual reporting and financial reporting to donors. Responsibilities also cover application of U.S. Government award requirements, including 2 CFR 200, maintenance of internal controls, compliance risk registers, audit readiness and timely closure of audit findings.

The manager will coordinate subgrant management for consortium and local implementing partners, conduct risk-based financial monitoring, provide hands-on coaching to community health associations, faith-based organizations and other local partners, and strengthen their financial management, documentation and audit-readiness capacity. A further focus is cost-efficiency analysis, monitoring the FCI 80/20 efficiency commitment to ensure resources reach frontline health workers and service-delivery platforms, and supporting the programme's financial sustainability and transition strategy. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field, and at least six to eight years of progressive experience in financial management, grants compliance and subaward oversight, preferably with U.S. Government funding.

Demonstrated knowledge of 2 CFR 200, cost allowability, internal controls, subrecipient monitoring and closeout, plus proficiency with accounting systems, ERP software and advanced Excel, are required. A master's degree or certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA or CFE, experience with World Vision or similar international NGOs, local language skills and experience with faith-based organizations in fragile contexts are preferred. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization working in nearly 100 countries to help vulnerable children overcome poverty. This is a local fixed-term, full-time contract based in Dar es Salaam, and recruitment is contingent upon award and donor approval.

Applications close on 9 September 2026; only local applicants will be considered.
