Finance & Administration Officer

Corus International

About this role

Corus International is seeking a Finance and Administration Officer for its Tanzania country office in Dar es Salaam. This is a regular full-time position based in DSM, and the role serves as a key operational pillar within the office, ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and administrative efficiency of the programme. The Finance and Administration Officer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, processing financial transactions, managing cash flow, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with donor requirements and organisational policies. Core responsibilities include processing payments, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, managing petty cash, and supporting budget monitoring and tracking of programme expenditures.

The role also entails coordinating logistics, managing office administration, supervising support staff where applicable, and liaising with the head office finance team to ensure alignment with global financial standards. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience in financial management, preferably within an international development or NGO context. Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with US Government or other major donor financial regulations.

Corus International is a globally active development organisation formed through the merger of IMA World Health and Lutheran World Relief, working across multiple countries on health, humanitarian, and development programmes. The Tanzania office implements a portfolio of programmes spanning health systems strengthening, nutrition, and livelihood initiatives, often funded by USAID, PEPFAR, and other institutional donors. The role requires regular interaction with programme and operations staff, travel to field sites as needed, and adherence to strict donor compliance frameworks. Applications are being accepted through the organisation's online recruitment portal, and interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly.
