Middle East Investor Relations & Fundraising Consultant

TDB Group

About this role

The Trade and Development Bank Group (TDB Group) is hiring a consultant to help its asset management arm, TDB Trade Asset Management Company (TAMCO), expand and diversify the Middle East investor base of the TDB Trade Funds. The consultant will use deep expertise in structuring trade finance funds and an established regional network to build relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, banks, family offices, and other institutional investors across the Gulf Cooperation Council and wider Middle East. Responsibilities include mapping the investor landscape, positioning the funds, advising on fund structuring and adaptation, preparing marketing materials, leading roadshows and due diligence, and reporting on pipeline progress and capital commitments. TDB Group, established in 1985, is a multilateral development finance institution with about USD 10 billion in assets, serving 26 African economies; TAMCO manages trade finance funds that raise institutional capital for African development and regional integration.

Candidates need a master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field, at least ten years in alternative asset management, capital raising, or trade finance, hands-on experience structuring trade finance funds, and an active network of Middle East institutional investor relationships. Strong communication skills, cultural fluency, a deep understanding of the trade finance asset class, and a strong interest in African development and impact investment are also essential. The short-to-medium term consultancy is initially twelve months, renewable by mutual agreement, part-time at three days per week or twelve days per month, and largely remote, with travel across the Middle East and periodic trips to Ebene, Mauritius. The consultant will report to the Chief Investment Officer.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and may include a performance-linked component tied to capital raised. Applications, including a cover letter, resume, certificates, contact details, and three references, are due by 15 September 2026.
