E-mobility Specialist

About this role

The E-Mobility Specialist supports the effective implementation of the EVOLVE programme by contributing to the design and delivery of the programme's technical assistance strategy and sequencing. The specialist will lead market intelligence and MSME diagnostics, develop technical content for the e-mobility incubation and acceleration tracks, deliver TA for the acceleration track including technical and commercial readiness, and co-ordinate the resourcing and technical oversight of key consultants. The specialist will also support donor engagement and reporting, risk management, market engagement particularly with private sector actors and financiers in the e-mobility ecosystem, and contribute towards programme learning and development of case studies. Core responsibilities include leading MSME pipeline development, selection, screening, diagnostics, due diligence, and KPI and milestone establishment for both incubation and acceleration tracks.

The specialist will structure learning modules, peer learning exchanges, and boot camp technical support, while providing tailored TA to ensure commercial and investment readiness. Technical resourcing and oversight of expert consultants, progress assessment against KPIs, and design of market exposure activities such as match-making events and trade shows are also key duties. The specialist will contribute to the design of the MSME subsidy fund and monitor recipient performance. Collaboration with the Country Finance team for budget inputs and cash projections, regular monitoring visits to programme participants, and preparation of progress reports form part of the monitoring, evaluation and learning responsibilities.

The role requires contributions to programme learning, documentation of lessons learned, and support for data collection and analysis.
