About this role

The Korea International Cooperation Agency, known as KOICA, is hiring a Driver for its Tanzania country office in Dar es Salaam. KOICA is an agency of the Republic of Korea that implements the government's Official Development Assistance programme for developing countries, complementing the Government of Tanzania's development efforts in education, health, and rural development. The Driver provides reliable transport support that keeps these programmes moving. Day to day, the post holder operates official KOICA vehicles for the country office, transports staff and visitors during project activities and official missions, and handles routine vehicle maintenance, safety inspections, and cleanliness management.

The Driver ensures compliance with traffic regulations, applies safe driving practices at all times, and supports other office responsibilities and related assignments as required. Candidates must hold a valid Tanzanian driving licence and have at least three years of professional driving experience. A clean driving record, solid knowledge of Tanzanian traffic laws and road networks, and basic skills in vehicle maintenance and safety checks are mandatory. Basic written and spoken English is required, alongside a strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and a professional attitude.

Prior experience working with international organisations is an added advantage. This is a full time position with an initial one year contract, renewable on a yearly basis under KOICA internal regulations, and it carries a three month probationary period. The duty station is the KOICA Tanzania country office in Dar es Salaam, and the Driver works closely with project teams, office administration, and visiting missions. KOICA offers a competitive salary and benefits, including a basic wage with related taxes and social security contributions, an annual incentive, an annual medical checkup, and severance pay.
