Early/Mid-Career Programme 2026
About this role
The Trade and Development Bank Group, an African regional multilateral development bank established in 1985, is recruiting professionals for its Early/Mid-Career Programme 2026. The programme targets self-motivated, results-oriented professionals joining a team committed to building a world-class institution that promotes trade, economic development and regional integration in Africa. It is designed to encourage multi-skilling, capacity building and knowledge transfer. Participants will work across banking and finance functions including origination, deal structuring, treasury, financial management, green finance, concessional finance, compliance and risk, asset management and information technology.
The programme runs for 24 months, though shorter assignments may be considered at TDB Group's discretion, and candidates may advance to a regular staff position on successful completion depending on performance and budget availability. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in business administration, accounting, banking, finance, economics or a related field from a recognised institution, and have at least five years of relevant post-graduate experience in a commercial, corporate or development banking environment. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, financial modelling ability, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, and excellent written and oral English are required. Candidates should also show problem-solving, organisational and decision-making skills and the ability to work in multinational teams.
Preferred qualifications include a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or CIB, and proficiency in French or Portuguese. Applicants must be nationals of Angola, Cote d'Ivoire, Mauritania, Namibia or Senegal and must be below the age of 30. TDB Group also counts several subsidiaries and strategic business units, including TDB Asset Management and TDB Academy. Successful candidates may be based at any TDB Group regional office in Addis Ababa, Bujumbura, Harare, Kinshasa, Nairobi or Mauritius.
Applications, including a cover letter, resume, certificates and three references, should be submitted by 15 November 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
