Operations & Finance
Treasury Officer, Liquidity & Loans Reconciliation
About this role
The Trade and Development Bank Group, or TDB Group, is recruiting a Treasury Officer for liquidity, reporting, and loans payable reconciliation. Founded in 1985, TDB Group is an African regional multilateral development bank mandated to finance trade, regional integration, and sustainable development across the continent. The post-holder monitors liquidity daily across all bank accounts, prepares cash position reports and short-term cashflow projections, and completes treasury reconciliations. Monitoring covers settlement flows for disbursements, money market transactions, foreign exchange, and loan repayments, and it informs intraday and end-of-day funding decisions.
The officer strengthens internal controls, reduces exposure to errors such as payment duplication and delayed settlements, and improves the timeliness of reconciliations. Coordination between Finance and Treasury is another priority, along with remediation of operational risk actions and resolution of client inquiries about payments and transfers. Other duties may be assigned by Management. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or a related field.
Five to eight years of proven experience in treasury liquidity management, cash position reporting, and reconciliations within a commercial or development banking or financial institution is required, together with experience monitoring settlement flows, loan repayments, and short-term cashflow projections. A solid understanding of treasury-finance hand-offs, liquidity reporting, and internal frameworks is essential, as are strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. Applicants must support funding decisions, manage multiple priorities under strict timelines, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrate organisational, problem-solving, and partnership-building abilities. Fluency in English is required.
French or Portuguese, another TDB Group official language, and a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous. The duty station is Nairobi, Kenya, on a full-time contract. TDB Group offers a conducive working environment with attractive salaries and benefits. Applications, including a resume, cover letter, certificates, and three referees, close on 31 October 2026, and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
