Supply Chain Advisor, Quantification Analytics
About this role
PATH, the global nonprofit dedicated to health equity, is recruiting a Supply Chain Advisor for a multi-country programme funded by a milestone-based U.S. Department of State award. The post is remote, based in Tanzania. The Advisor joins the project's global management team to lead development, analysis and dissemination of supply planning products that strengthen commodity security, with a technical focus on Burkina Faso, Niger, Senegal and Ghana.
Day to day, the Advisor produces a consolidated quarterly supply plan report across the four countries, flagging stockouts, procurement delays, funding gaps, excess stock and expiry risks. The post-holder collects and validates forecasting, inventory, procurement, shipment and consumption data from country teams, and builds methodologies for tracking stock-out, overstock, expiry, pipeline and funding risks. They prepare country-level and cross-country analyses of malaria and MNCH commodity availability plus dashboards and risk summaries for donor reporting. The Advisor also strengthens country capacity, facilitating quarterly supply planning reviews, annual quantification exercises and commodity planning workshops, and serves as a technical resource for the Quantification Analytics Tool (QAT), guiding users on forecasting methods and inventory monitoring.
Applicants need a master's degree in supply chain management, public health, pharmacy, epidemiology, business administration or international development, or equivalent experience, plus at least seven years in health supply chain management, forecasting, quantification and supply planning in low- and middle-income countries. U.S. Government-funded programme experience, advanced Excel skills, quantification workshop facilitation, and professional fluency in English and French are required. Malaria commodity planning experience is required, while other health areas are desirable.
Preferred experience covers regional or multi-country supply chain programmes, ARTMIS, LMIS, HMIS and Wambo systems, dashboard and business intelligence development, and work in fragile settings. International travel is required and candidates must have legal authorisation to work in the country of hire. U.S.-based staff receive $140,000 to $170,000 plus medical, dental, life, disability and retirement benefits. Apply through the PATH careers portal.
