The Senior Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for finance and administration management across the Transform Trade Africa region, with the regional office based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The post holder reports to the Regional Director for Africa and works closely with the global Head of Finance and Administration and other finance and operations colleagues. Core responsibilities include regional financial management such as preparing financial statements, managing cashbooks and bank reconciliations, processing payroll, and ensuring positive cash flow. The role encompasses budget management and support to programme teams, administrative coordination across programmes, grants and partnerships, and ensuring compliance with Transform Trade policies, Tanzanian statutory requirements, and donor regulations.

The post holder will oversee internal financial controls, support risk management, manage statutory and project audits, conduct financial verification exercises, supervise the finance and operations assistant, coach and train field staff and partners on financial management and safeguarding, and ensure the regional office is well managed. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field, along with a professional accounting qualification registered with the National Board of Accountancy and Auditors (NBAA) or equivalent. Candidates must have at least five years of experience managing finances for development organisations funded by international donors, with strong bookkeeping expertise and proficiency in accounting systems, ideally SAGE 200. Familiarity with Tanzanian and Kenyan taxation and compliance rules is essential.
