D-tree International is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its Mainland Tanzania office in Dar es Salaam. The organisation partners with governments in Zanzibar, Mainland Tanzania, and Malawi to strengthen health systems and improve primary healthcare delivery through digital solutions. This role bridges D-tree's program teams, digital health users, and technology teams to ensure that digital solutions effectively respond to health system needs. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business and program requirements, translating user needs into clear system specifications, supporting human-centered design processes, and ensuring digital solutions are practical, user-friendly, and aligned with program objectives.

Core responsibilities include leading business analysis activities representing approximately 60% of workload. This encompasses guiding system design, development, testing, and implementation processes; conducting stakeholder mapping through focused group discussions, interviews, and field visits; and applying human-centered design principles to document software requirement specifications and solution architectures. The role coordinates with software development teams, mediates between stakeholders and developers, and leads user acceptance testing, performance testing, and stress testing. An additional 10% of effort focuses on system quality assurance, ensuring adherence to Ministry guidelines and the Tanzania Health Enterprise Architecture.

The remaining 30% supports program implementation, including donor reporting, stakeholder communication, budget monitoring, and representing D-tree at professional forums. Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience in business analysis, digital health, or health information systems. Strong knowledge of systems development life cycle methodologies and experience with cross-functional teams are essential. io and Figma are desirable additions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills are required. The position is full-time, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, reporting to the Senior Technical Advisor, with an expected start date as soon as possible. D-tree offers an annual salary range of TSh.
