Relationship Officer Supervisor

World Vision is hiring a Relationship Officer Supervisor at its VisionFund head office in Tanzania to lead a team providing savings, insurance and lending services to low-income clients. The supervisor will monitor the daily activities of Relationship Officers, coach and mentor staff, conduct performance appraisals, coordinate recruitment and training, and build a strong team environment. The post-holder will drive marketing for savings, insurance and loan products, recruit clients, support pipeline development, and meet targets for disbursements, portfolio growth, portfolio quality and customer numbers. Duties also cover validating loan appraisals, conducting spot checks, monitoring loan performance, enforcing zero tolerance for missed repayments, ensuring compliance with policies and Bank of Tanzania requirements, safeguarding cash and records, resolving complaints, and submitting daily, weekly and monthly reports.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in finance, banking, economics, business administration or accounting, with three to five years of credit or loan operations experience in a microfinance institution, bank or financial institution, and at least one to two years in a supervisory role. Candidates need proven skills in loan appraisal, disbursement, monitoring and recovery, plus strong knowledge of credit analysis, cash flow assessment, collateral evaluation, PAR monitoring and delinquency management, as well as proficiency in core banking systems, MIS and MS Office. Professional certification in microfinance, credit or risk management is an added advantage, along with local market knowledge and fluency in English and Kiswahili. The successful applicant will be employed on a local fixed-term contract at the VisionFund head office in Tanzania; field visits are required to support staff and clients.
