Relationship Officer Supervisor, Group Lending

VisionFund, the microfinance arm of World Vision, is hiring a Relationship Officer Supervisor for Group Lending at its VisionFund Tanzania head office. The post-holder will lead and supervise the daily activities of Relationship Officers, direct group lending teams on marketing and promotion of VisionFund Tanzania products, and visit new groups and clients to verify their eligibility before approval. Monitoring field activities, following up with existing clients, resolving complaints quickly, and supporting compliant loan disbursement are central duties, as is driving branch performance so that savings, insurance and loan targets for disbursement, portfolio growth, portfolio quality and client numbers are met. The supervisor will hold team performance meetings, coach Relationship Officers, conduct performance evaluations, manage recruitment and training needs, coordinate with Business Center Managers and regional managers on market expansion, oversee accurate reporting in the core banking system, and support surveys and learning activities.
Candidates should hold a university degree or diploma in economics, rural development, agri-finance, accounting, community development, finance or business administration and have at least two years of sales and credit management experience, including one year training or coaching teams. Strong knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and lending practices, marketing and people management skills, analytical skills including Excel, Microsoft Office proficiency, and demonstrated Christian leadership are required.
