Eden Reforestation Projects is seeking a Reforestation and Restoration Manager to lead community-based forest restoration activities in Lumuma, Kilosa District and Mbuga, Mpwapwa District, both located within Morogoro Region, Tanzania. The position falls within the Compassionate Carbon Tanzania programme, which operates across multiple rural districts and works with local communities to establish and maintain forest cover through participatory restoration approaches. As the Reforestation and Restoration Manager, the post-holder will oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of reforestation and land restoration activities at these sites, ensuring alignment with programme targets and quality standards. The role involves coordinating field teams, engaging with community stakeholders and local authorities, and managing operational logistics across potentially dispersed project locations.

Candidates should hold a relevant university degree in forestry, environmental science, natural resource management, or a closely related discipline, and must possess several years of progressive experience in reforestation, afforestation, or landscape restoration project management. Prior experience working in rural East African contexts, particularly in Tanzania, and a demonstrated understanding of community-based natural resource management approaches are highly advantageous. Familiarity with nursery operations, seedling production, and tree planting methodologies suited to semi-humid and dryland environments is also desirable. The post is classified as full-time and the successful candidate will report directly to the Programme Director within the Compassionate Carbon Tanzania structure.

Working conditions include regular travel to field sites in both the Kilosa and Mpwapwa districts, which may involve remote rural access.
