About this role
WWF Tanzania is seeking a Project Executant on a fixed-term full-time contract basis. The role is located in Tanzania and is focused on the effective implementation of conservation and environmental protection projects in line with WWF's global and country-level strategic priorities. The Project Executant will be responsible for coordinating project activities, ensuring timely delivery against agreed work plans, managing relationships with implementing partners and stakeholders, and contributing to monitoring and reporting processes. Core responsibilities include liaising with technical teams, supporting financial tracking and budget consumption, and ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organisational policies.
Ideal candidates will have a relevant academic background in environmental science, natural resource management, development studies, or a related field, along with prior experience working with non-governmental organisations or international development agencies. Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires regular engagement with diverse stakeholders including government authorities, community groups, and partner organisations. In Tanzania, WWF focuses on programmes spanning wildlife protection, forest conservation, freshwater management, climate adaptation, and sustainable livelihoods.
