Programme Officer Infrastructure and Digitalisation
About this role
AUDA-NEPAD, the African Union Development Agency, is seeking a Programme Officer for Infrastructure and Digitalisation to support the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of infrastructure and digitalisation activities under the ICD-SMC Project. The incumbent will work under the supervision of the Head of Infrastructure and Transport Unit and will facilitate engagement with Member States, Regional Economic Communities, development partners, financial institutions, technical experts, and private sector stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and achievement of project objectives. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in International Relations, Computer or Data Sciences, Project Management, Political Sciences, Economics, or Development Studies with at least two years of progressive experience in infrastructure, energy, digital transformation, transport or trade facilitation, or possess a Bachelor's degree in one of these fields with four years of relevant experience. Prior engagement with AUDA-NEPAD, ECOWAS, EAC, IOC, AfDB or Africa50, as well as a Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, will be considered an advantage.
The role requires strong knowledge of African infrastructure development, corridor planning, PPP frameworks, energy systems, digital trade facilitation, and regional integration processes, along with proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP. The position is based in Midrand, South Africa, on a full-time basis. 88 per annum, and a gratuity of 15 percent of gross salary, consistent with rules for internationally recruited AU staff.
