Program Coordinator, Applied Learning
About this role
Raising The Village (RTV) is recruiting a Program Coordinator for its Applied Learning team in Tanzania. RTV works to eradicate ultra-poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa and employs more than 350 staff across Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania. Applied Learning bridges data, programmes and people, translating field, research and technology insights into practical learning and stronger staff capacity. The post-holder develops and documents complex programmatic information, translating it into accessible, learner-friendly formats for staff and communities.
Day-to-day work includes facilitating machine translation of guides, manuals, training materials and research briefs from English into Kiswahili, and coordinating quality assurance with consultants, including drafting terms of reference. The coordinator captures programme methodology, country adaptations, lessons learned and best practices, and maintains version control across knowledge resources. They also document programme adaptations, support periodic programme reviews, identify learning needs, develop training and micro-learning content, and build tools to measure learning effectiveness. Qualitative research, including focus groups and in-depth interviews in local languages, is a further core responsibility.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in international development, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation, organisational learning, social sciences or a related field, with three to four years of relevant experience. Excellent Kiswahili and English are mandatory and tested during screening, alongside proven ability to design learning materials, facilitation and qualitative research skills, project management capability, and proficiency in MS 365. Familiarity with programme design, logic models and M&E frameworks, knowledge of poverty graduation programmes, fluency in Tanzanian dialects, and exposure to learning management systems are desirable. This full-time Tanzanian national position is based in Bukoba, with possible relocation within Tanzania, and reports to the Team Lead, Applied Learning.
Travel is required up to 60 percent of the time, including field visits, and applications go through RTV's recruitment portal; only shortlisted candidates are contacted and no fees are charged at any stage.
