About this role
Educate! is seeking a Global Human Resources Business Partner to support its fast-growing global team, which spans offices across East Africa, the United States, and Europe. This role reports directly to the Director of People and works closely with executive and senior leadership, as well as the Head of People Programs and Engagement, to foster a high-performance culture across the organisation. The HRBP will serve as a strategic partner to the Uganda leadership team, helping to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with country-level goals, objectives, and key results.
's mission, and building productive relationships with stakeholders across country offices and field operations. The HRBP will coach and develop Uganda-based leaders and managers to strengthen people practices, improve accountability, and navigate difficult conversations. Change management represents a significant dimension of the role, requiring the incumbent to guide teams through transitions, enhance communication, and promote a culture of continuous learning and feedback. The HRBP also serves as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, handling grievances, complaints, and workplace investigations with fairness and confidentiality while ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
Additionally, the role involves partnering with leadership to drive robust performance management, support honest and constructive feedback, and implement talent retention and succession strategies that build internal pipelines for growth. Candidates must possess at least five years of experience in a People function, with a minimum of three years as an HRBP or supporting an HRBP unit. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, cultural adaptability, organisational agility, and solid coaching capabilities are essential. The position is full time with a hybrid work model, requiring presence in the office twice weekly along with occasional international and field travel.
