Grants Finance Senior Associate/Manager
About this role
One Acre Fund seeks a Grants Finance Senior Associate/Manager to lead financial strategy across a multi-country grants portfolio. The role spans financial planning and analysis, accounting, fundraising, and program delivery, supporting One Acre Fund's work with smallholder farmers. The post-holder helps the organisation decide how to raise, allocate, and deploy resources. The post-holder partners with fundraising and program teams to assess funding opportunities, build budgets, and test feasibility.
They lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple grants, challenge assumptions, and translate analysis into recommendations. They oversee grant reporting, monitor donor compliance, and lead grant audits and assurance. They strengthen grants management systems and data through automation and business intelligence. They also act as a trusted financial partner to senior stakeholders and manage one or two finance professionals.
Candidates need at least eight years of relevant experience in FP&A, finance, audit, financial advisory, consulting, or a related field. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related area is required; a master's degree is preferred. A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CA is strongly preferred. Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial controls, Excel, and financial systems skills are required.
Salesforce or Power BI experience is an advantage, as is managing or coaching colleagues. Grants or donor-funded sector experience is useful but not mandatory. One Acre Fund, founded in 2006, equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers with farm supplies, tree seedlings, credit, and agronomic training. It employs more than 9,000 staff across countries home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers.
This full-time role offers a two-year renewable contract, with locations including Tanzania and other African countries. It is open only to citizens or permanent residents of those countries. Benefits include health insurance and housing. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until a hire is made, and candidates should apply through the One Acre Fund careers portal.
