Global MEL Senior Associate

About this role

One Acre Fund is hiring a Global MEL Senior Associate to provide technical guidance, analytical support, and quality assurance across a portfolio of 2-3 country programs within its growth country portfolio, which includes Tanzania, DRC, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia, and Burundi. The role serves as the primary technical resource for country MEL Leads, reviewing survey instruments and data collection approaches including CommCare programming, strengthening data quality backcheck processes, reviewing data analysis in Stata, and quality-controlling MEL deliverables including reports, dashboards, and presentations. The associate also advises on evaluation design with fluency in quasi-experimental approaches and RCTs, contributes to global MEL standards and shared analytical tools, and supports team trainings and capacity-building. Depending on candidate profile, the role may include dedicated analytical support to the Agroforestry programme. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, or applied research, a Master\'s degree in economics, applied statistics, agricultural economics, or a closely related field, proficiency in Stata, and experience with quasi-experimental methods. CommCare experience and background in agriculture are required. The role reports to a Senior Manager on the Global MEL Team, involves approximately 10-25% regional travel, and the duty station is flexible within One Acre Fund\'s countries of operation.
