About this Role
This 11-month PSA position supports HR operations at FAO's Tanzania country representation, coordinating hiring processes, managing contracts for national and international consultants, organizing recruitment campaigns, and maintaining personnel records with strict confidentiality. Required qualifications include a university degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, a minimum of 4 years relevant experience (at least 2 in HR management), and proficiency in English and Swahili; Tanzanian nationality or valid work authorization is required. The role supports FAO Tanzania's mandate across food security, agriculture, fisheries, and nutrition programs — areas critical to Tanzania's rural development agenda and food sovereignty. Key responsibilities include facilitating selection processes, supervising contract validity, providing administrative support for consultant payments, and assisting with performance evaluations. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a detail-oriented approach to HR documentation, and familiarity with UN or international organization administrative procedures. This is an 11-month PSA contract with FAO Tanzania's country office.
