About this Role
UN Women Tanzania seeks a Deputy Country Representative to manage day-to-day operations of the country programme and supervise a team of 20 personnel. Reporting to the Country Representative, the role covers strategic advisory support, UN system coordination, partnership development with government ministries and civil society, and high-level advocacy representation. Candidates must hold a master degree in international development or gender studies with minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience emphasising gender equality, preferably within the UN system. The position is critical for maintaining UN Women Tanzania leadership in the national gender architecture including Beijing Platform for Action implementation and CEDAW reporting.
