About this Role
The Project Coordinator will lead implementation of the GEF-funded source-to-sea management project across the Ruvuma River Basin valued at USD 7.1 million over 60 months, coordinating with IUCN, GWPSA, and Wetlands International across Tanzania, Malawi, and Mozambique from a Mtwara duty station. Requirements include water resource management experience, transboundary governance expertise, and willingness to be based in Mtwara for 36 months renewable. This role safeguards ecosystem integrity and climate resilience for communities across three riparian states sharing the Ruvuma River.
