About this Role

Provide overall leadership and strategic oversight for the Pandemic Fund–supported specimen referral project, directing work plans, budgets, MoH and WHO coordination, and One Health integration across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. Requires an advanced degree in public health, laboratory sciences, or epidemiology with at least 7 years in global health programmes including 3 in senior leadership, and proven multisectoral programme experience. Builds national pandemic preparedness aligned with IHR 2005 and Global Health Security priorities, enabling rapid detection and response to emerging public health threats.
