Technical Officer- Pandemic Specimen Referral Systems, Zanzibar, Tanzania

About this Role

Support rollout of specimen referral and transport systems across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, dissemination of SOPs and algorithms, capacity building of clinicians, lab and surveillance staff, and multisectoral One Health coordination. Requires a bachelor's in laboratory sciences, public health, or epidemiology with 5–6 years in health programmes, experience with Government of Tanzania and donor-funded projects, and fluency in English and Swahili. Strengthens early detection and response to pandemic threats, improving biosafety and the speed of outbreak response across the country.
