AA & Emergency Officer – Anticipatory Action SADC

About this Role

Hosted by WFP on behalf of the RAAWG Inter-agency Project Team including WFP, FAO, and IFRC, the Officer will support SADC in institutionalizing anticipatory action frameworks, standard operating procedures, and early response systems across 16 Southern African Member States through the SADC Disaster Risk Reduction Unit. Requirements include a Master's in disaster risk management, climate change, or international development, with experience designing regional anticipatory action systems and early warning mechanisms. This role strengthens the region's climate preparedness architecture protecting millions of vulnerable people across Southern Africa.
