Special Task Coordinator, ITN Distribution
About this role
Jhpiego is seeking a Special Task Coordinator for Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) Distribution for a two-month assignment from July to August 2026 as part of the Reaching Impact, Saturation and Epidemic Control (RISE) project. S. Department of State, RISE supports malaria prevention, diagnosis, treatment, surveillance, and monitoring and evaluation activities across Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Reporting to the ITN Systems Coordinator, the Special Task ITN Distribution Coordinator will provide technical and logistics support to council teams during the Targeted Mass Campaign for ITN distribution in Lindi Region. Core responsibilities include leading council-level coordination of ITN quantification and forecasting, overseeing supply chain processes from council receipt through last-mile distribution, tracking shipments with ITN distribution vendors, and monitoring implementation progress across campaign councils. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in public administration, community development, health systems management, or a related field, with six years of progressive local government and community engagement experience for lower qualifications.
The role requires at least five years of managing activity implementation at council level through local government structures, with experience working with CHMTs and WDCs preferred. Candidates should have at least three years of experience managing donor-funded health programs in Tanzania, working knowledge of USG regulations, and excellent written and oral communication skills in both Kiswahili and English. Demonstrated self-management skills including motivation, adaptability, and diplomacy are essential.
