FHI 360, a global development organisation, is recruiting a Regional Technical Officer, Community Engagement, HIV for its Morogoro office in Tanzania. The position provides technical and programmatic oversight for community and facility based interventions that strengthen linkage to care, antiretroviral treatment initiation, continuity of treatment, and re-engagement of adults, children and adolescents. The officer offers technical support for evidence based strategies that improve ART linkage, retention and re-engagement, and develops tools, materials and standard operating procedures for community based HIV service delivery. The role contributes to a strategic communication package that builds demand for HIV prevention, testing services, TB, STI and sexual violence prevention and management, and treatment adherence, while supporting integrated HIV and TB activities.

Working with regional and district health management teams, community based HIV service coordinators, community health workers and facility care teams, the officer mentors providers on referrals, client follow up, case management and national tracking registers. The officer also conducts supportive supervision, analyses ART retention and treatment continuation data, monitors key performance indicators, and prepares technical reports for quarterly and annual reporting. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in social sciences, public health, international development, communication, social work, education, environment, gender, health, nutrition, research or a related field, plus four years of progressively responsible experience in community based health programming, including leadership and coordination of HIV prevention, care and treatment work. Fluency in English and Swahili, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong data analysis skills are required.

Experience with NGOs, civil society organisations, community health workers, government agencies or private companies is advantageous. The appointment is full time, reports to the Senior Regional Technical Officer, Community Engagement, and involves 50 to 75 percent domestic travel. The annual basic salary range is TZS 52,000,000 to 65,000,000, and FHI 360 offers a competitive benefits package. Applications close on 23 October 2026.
