The post-holder provides technical expertise on PMTCT, HIV-exposed infants, pediatric HIV, and cervical cancer, working with regional, council, and facility teams to strengthen triple elimination of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. The officer supports planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of PMTCT and cervical cancer prevention (CECAP) interventions across supported regions. The officer prepares technical reports, strengthens infection prevention and control, and reports achievements, risks, and corrective actions to senior management. Required qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine or Nursing degree, or another health-related field, with current professional registration, plus at least four years of progressive experience in PMTCT, pediatric HIV, maternal and child health, or HIV prevention, care, and treatment, preferably within donor-funded programs. Proven experience with regional and council health management teams is essential.
Candidates must be fluent in English and Kiswahili, demonstrate strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. A master's degree in public health is preferred. The post is full time, reporting to the Regional Senior Technical Officer for Care and Treatment Services, with 10 to 25 percent travel to health facility sites. FHI 360 offers a competitive compensation package with an annual basic salary of TZS 52,000,000 to 65,000,000, and candidates should apply online with a cover letter, CV, certificates, and three referees by 31 October 2026.
