Jaza Energy is recruiting a Regional Inventory Controller to take full ownership of stock integrity at its regional fulfilment centre in Tanzania. Jaza builds solar-powered shops that charge batteries used by households across Sub-Saharan Africa, and it has completed more than four million battery swaps since 2022, giving roughly 225,000 people access to clean, affordable energy. The post-holder owns end-to-end inventory control across inbound, storage, outbound, and reverse logistics. Day-to-day duties include receiving shipments against approved purchase orders with full verification of quantity, serial numbers, and condition, executing serialized goods receipt notes with three-way match validation, and quarantining non-conforming stock.

The role maintains a strict six-zone warehouse structure, enforces bin-level location control, and executes picking, packing, and staging aligned to sales and operations execution plans. It also manages returns intake, condition-based zoning, supplier returns through to credit closure, and a live returns tracker. A tiered cycle count programme, quarterly full reconciliations, root cause analysis of variances, and weekly and monthly reporting to Supply Chain and Finance are central to the job. Candidates should hold a degree or HND in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business administration, or engineering, with three to five years of warehouse operations experience and direct ownership of stock accuracy.

Hands-on work with IMS, WMS, or ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is required, alongside proven cycle counting, variance analysis, and reconciliation skills, strong Excel or Google Sheets ability, and experience supporting Finance on inventory valuation. Familiarity with HSSE standards, including battery handling, is expected. The role suits someone comfortable in emerging-market conditions with infrastructure and system constraints. This is a full-time position based in Morogoro or Kigoma, reporting to the Regional Operations Lead with a dotted line to the Country Transport Coordinator.
