Regional Clinical Services Coordinator

FHI 360

About this role

FHI 360 is recruiting a Regional Clinical Services Coordinator to provide technical leadership and coordination for the implementation, quality improvement, and scale-up of comprehensive HIV and TB services under the EpiC and AFGHS projects in Tanzania. Based in Ruvuma, the position strengthens quality, coverage, integration, and effectiveness of HIV and TB services across supported Police and Prisons facilities and public health facilities in the assigned region. The post-holder oversees technical implementation of HIV testing services and prevention, care and treatment, advanced HIV disease, PMTCT and early infant diagnosis, TB services, non-communicable disease integration, and cervical cancer screening, together with integrated quality improvement initiatives. Day to day, the coordinator leads and supervises regional technical activities, monitors performance against targets, identifies service delivery gaps, and provides timely support to resolve emerging clinical and programmatic challenges.

The role also provides direct technical support to healthcare facilities through site start-up, staff training, clinical mentorship and continuing medical education, patient flow optimization, and adherence improvement. The incumbent builds the capacity of regional and council health management teams, coordinates quarterly joint supportive supervision, and works with monitoring and evaluation colleagues to track intervention effectiveness and document best practices. Candidates must hold a degree in medicine or a related field with relevant national registration, plus at least eight years of professional experience in HIV and TB clinical services, preferably in public health or donor-funded programmes. Proven experience in programme implementation, clinical mentorship, supportive supervision, and quality improvement is required, along with demonstrated data analysis and reporting skills and fluency in English and Kiswahili.

A master's degree in public health is an added advantage, as is experience in multi-stakeholder regional programme environments. The full-time position reports to the Regional Manager and involves 10 to 25 percent domestic travel. The annual basic salary range is TZS 90,000,000 to 95,000,000. Applications close on 14 October 2026.
